Preconstruction Project Manager

Overview of the Role:
Step into a pivotal role where you'll coordinate complex battery energy storage system (BESS) projects from early development through construction readiness. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge renewable energy technology while managing cross-functional teams and driving project success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily project activities across internal and external resources for BESS projects
- Manage highly matrixed project development teams to meet critical schedules
- Develop and optimize project technical scope for improved feasibility
- Support PPA and GIA negotiations with origination teams
- Present financial models to business units and manage executive approvals
- Competitively source and negotiate commercial contracts for critical services
- Ensure seamless project handover to Construction Project Managers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in engineering or construction
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities
- PMP certification and Six Sigma experience preferred
- Renewable energy project experience a plus
