- Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
- Estimated Pay: $45.50/hour (Negotiable)
- Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
- Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
- Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.

Summary
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is a highly trained healthcare professional responsible for independently performing high-quality MRI examinations across a variety of anatomical regions. This includes, but is not limited to, abdominal, brain, vascular, musculoskeletal, and other areas as requested by referring providers. The technologist ensures optimal image quality, patient safety, and adherence to MRI safety protocols, including the administration of contrast media when indicated. This role is essential in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning through expert imaging and patient-centered care.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
- ARRT (MRI) certification required or eligibility with intent to obtain
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of MRI procedures independently, including:
- Abdominal
- Neurological (brain, spine)
- Vascular (MRA/MRV)
- Musculoskeletal
- Other anatomical areas as ordered
- Administer contrast agents safely and monitor for adverse reactions
- Select and adjust imaging parameters to optimize scan quality
- Prepare and position patients for MRI exams with attention to comfort, safety, and alignment
- Conduct thorough screening for contraindications (e.g., implants, metal, pacemakers)
- Provide clear explanations of procedures and maintain a calm, supportive environment
