- Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
- Estimated Pay: $41.15/hour (Negotiable)
- Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
- Employee Paid Group Benefits Offered: Health/Dental/Vision.
- Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.
- Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year, occurring on day one.

Summary
The Ultrasound (US) Technologist is a highly skilled healthcare professional who independently performs high-quality diagnostic and vascular ultrasound imaging procedures. This role involves conducting a wide range of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular, gynecological, and other anatomical areas as requested by referring physicians. The technologist ensures optimal image quality, patient safety, and accurate documentation while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. This position plays a critical role in assisting physicians with diagnostic interpretation and patient care planning.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required in at least one specialty (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferred though new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures independently, including:
- Abdominal
- Musculoskeletal
- Vascular (arterial and venous studies)
- Gynecological
- Small parts and other anatomical areas as ordered
- Operate ultrasound equipment and related systems proficiently and safely
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations with attention to comfort, safety, and privacy
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to any distress or complications
