RETAIL SALES MANAGER

About the position
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies for the companys products to achieve sales targets across retail outlets nationwide.
- Manage the operations of all retail outlets, ensuring consistent product availability, optimal staffing, and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of sales staff and retail managers to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, and key stakeholders to expand the companys retail network.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies and improve market penetration.
- Develop and execute promotional activities and marketing campaigns to increase sales volume and market share.
- Ensure that all retail outlets comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
- Conduct regular audits of retail outlets to assess operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to ensure timely delivery of products to all retail locations.
- Collaborate with the finance and marketing teams to set pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Provide regular sales reports and performance metrics to senior management, analyzing trends and making recommendations for improvement.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience at all retail outlets.
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential markets and partnerships to expand the companys retail footprint.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in sales and retail management, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing retail operations. Experience in managing a geographically dispersed team and retail network.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of petroleum products (AGO, PMS, APK) and the Nigerian retail market. Strong understanding of retail sales strategies, customer service principles, and market dynamics.
