A feline-focused veterinary clinic in Bellevue is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join its small, dedicated team. This tranquil, cat-only environment offers exams, lab testing, radiology, surgery, and boarding. The clinic values its long-standing relationships with clients and prides itself on personalized care.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role directly supporting the doctor and veterinary assistant each day. The team is looking for an experienced technician interested in stepping into a leadership-oriented position, supporting education, operational improvement, and outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to patients, perform laboratory tests, administer medications, and educate clients on pet health.
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgeries.
Maintain accurate medical records and prepare reports as needed.
Monitor anesthesia and provide surgical support.
Communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and team members.
- Support training initiatives, operational improvements, and adoption of new technologies.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulations in veterinary care.
Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure in Washington State.
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
Work Schedule & Culture
- 10-hour shifts Monday thru Friday (7:45 am to 6:15 pm), Saturdays (8:00 am to 2:30 pm)
