About the position

The Company

Morphle Labs is a YC-funded startup by IIT alumni building Medical Devices for cancer diagnostics. We are a team of 50+ highly energetic folks based out of Bangalore.
We have achieved high revenue growth across India (market leader) + USA & a sparse customer base across Europe, Southeast Asia & Middle East.
We have generated a large IP portfolio & an amazing engineering culture as a byproduct, owing to the strong technical leadership & amazing folks who joined hands during the journey.

Our Products

We design, manufacture, and sell scientifically advanced medical devices. Our solutions, Morpholens and Hemolens, enable fully digital diagnostics workflows for cancer biopsies and blood-related disorders across all geographies.
Our latest product, Robotome, the worlds first high-throughput Robotic Microtome automates the biggest unsolved need in processing cancer biopsies. This cutting-edge robotic system ensures precision, efficiency, and reliability in sample processing, making it a game-changer for pathologists, medical institutions, and cancer research centers.
Our products represent unique inventions across physics, robotics, computer vision, and software workflows, specifically designed for doctors, labs, and hospitals worldwide. In a nutshell, we are building a robotics-enabled digital diagnostics platform to revolutionize pathology and cancer diagnostics

The Role

As a Manufacturing Architect at Morphle Labs, you will own the design, scale-up, and optimization of the manufacturing systems and infrastructure required to bring our medical robotics to life. Youll work cross-functionally across design, hardware, quality, and supply chain teams to translate high-complexity R&D prototypes into robust, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing lines.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your contributions will directly influence the speed, cost, and quality of our products as we scale globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect the end-to-end manufacturing strategy for all Morphle hardware products, robotics, precision optics, embedded systems, and enclosures.
  • Define and optimize assembly line layouts, workflows, jigs, fixtures, and process controls to ensure repeatability and throughput at scale.
  • Collaborate closely with product design, R&D, and supply chain teams to DFM/DFS (Design for Manufacturing & Serviceability) and resolve manufacturability issues.
  • Develop and implement process documentation, including SOPs, assembly instructions, and quality checklists.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish vendor/manufacturing partnerships for tooling, machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and automation solutions.
  • Drive automation and digitalization across manufacturing operations using sensors, MES, and traceability systems.
  • Own scaling roadmaps for production from trial to fixed manufacturing process set up while balancing cost, lead time, and quality targets.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with medical device manufacturing standards (ISO 13485, GMP, etc.)

Ideal Candidate:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Supply Chain Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering roles, ideally in medical devices, robotics, or high-precision systems.
  • Strong grasp of DFM, DFA, PFMEA, lean principles, and production process development.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD, ERP/MRP systems, and factory automation tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving requirements.
  • Exposure to regulatory and quality requirements of medical-grade hardware is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and vendors across India and Asia.

Uniquely Lovable about the opportunity:

  • A young team that's focused and goal-oriented!
  • Amazing in-house chef ensuring hot food & continuous flow of tea/coffee on the house.
  • Opportunity to significantly contribute towards improving cancer diagnostics across the globe. Our users (Doctors) truly love us & it's immensely satisfying to be part of the value chain that saves lives.
