US Accounting Training Officer/Specialist

The US Accounting Training Officer/Specialist will lead and deliver effective training programs focused on US accounting principles, tax compliance, and bookkeeping. This role supports employee onboarding and upskilling, ensures adherence to accounting standards, and collaborates with teams to address skill gaps through effective learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver comprehensive training programs on core accounting principles, including onboarding for new hires and upskilling sessions for current team members.
Ensure employees understand and consistently adhere to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to identify skill gaps, assess training needs, and align learning initiatives with business priorities.
Provide continuous coaching, support, and feedback to trainees, reinforcing their ability to apply concepts in real-world scenarios.
Assist in the development, enhancement, and regular update of training materials and modules to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Maintain a centralized repository of updated training documents and learning resources.
Submit timely reports on training attendance, progress, and compliance, as required.
Stay updated on US accounting and compliance changes and integrate updates into training.
Able to conduct training needs analysis when needed
Conduct regular skills assessments and knowledge checks.
Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of solid and relevant experience in a US accounting firm or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of US accounting principles, practices, and regulatory standards.
Open to both CPA and non-CPA candidates.
Proficient in core accounting functions such as bookkeeping, tax compliance, and US taxation practices.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective and engaging training programs using diverse instructional methods.
Prior experience in training, mentoring, or coaching individuals or teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts clearly and provide constructive feedback.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and assess learning needs.
Familiarity with commonly used accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, ERP systems).
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
