Technical Services Manager, Sweater Category

About the position

Report to the Global Technical Servicer Leader, you will serve as the Technical Services Lead for our Sweater product category and partner with the Global Sweater Category Leader closely to drive business and manage the execution well.

You will provide leadership and guidance to the Fit, Quality Assurance & Yarn teams located in Hong Kong and other regions, so as to resolve any operational issues and provide advice to enable our Merchandising team to drive business. You will also proactively scout latest Technical Services related trend / intelligence and share with the team timely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the regional Sweater technical services team to provide end-to-end advice and supports to Sweater Category Leader in terms of Fit, Yarn and Quality Assurance
  • Translate business strategy into directions / actions of the Technical Services team so as to provide solution-based advice to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain strategic working partnership with key customers and serve as an reliable and integrated technical consultants to elevate the business engagement for further penetration to customer business
  • Engage with respective customer technical design teams to manage the end-to-end process, including but not limited to getting fit approval, TOP approval etc.
  • Provide market intelligence and best practice. Actively monitor and benchmark the marketplace to incorporate latest practice to streamline and enhance our working process to achieve efficiency
  • Continuously enhance technical capabilities of the team so as to enhance the support provided to the business and customer
  • Develop and drive the implementation of category-based initiative to enhance the product development and/or execution process
  • Engage in all new factory sourcing strategy, from providing inputs and advise on selecting new vendors up to potential onboarding to accelerate the transition process
  • Monitor overall development and production performance and proactively implement measures to sustain the score card result

Job Requirement:

  • Relevant academic qualification in apparel / garment design / manufacturing
  • 10 years of experience in Sweater technical design
  • Experience in managing teams across regions/ countries preferred
  • Candidate with more experience might considered as Division Manager, Technical Services
  • Sound knowledge of sweater manufacturing technology and trends
  • Sound knowledge in product development, yarn, garment construction, fitting & QA
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) and English
  • Able to identify trends and transforms into insights & action plan
  • Able to collaborate with different stakeholders in developing and implementing regional initiatives
