Construction Project Director

About the position

Our client is a prominent real estate developer with a diverse portfolio of luxury, resort, and high-end projects across Vietnam.

They are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Construction Project Director to lead the delivery of high-value, large-scale construction projects that promote eco-friendly living and sustainability practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects with incredibly high contract values, and footprints of several hectares - from initial planning through to final handover. 

This individual should be comfortable traveling around Northern Vietnam on an as-needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead all phases of project development, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, procurement, construction, quality control, and final delivery.
• Oversee contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure high-quality execution that meets time, cost, and design objectives.
• Manage end-to-end project budgets in the hundreds of millions USD or large-scale developments with full accountability for P&L performance.
• Ensure projects meet all regulatory, environmental, safety, and compliance requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, investors, and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee risk management strategies, change control processes, and dispute resolution, ensuring timely mitigation and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive value engineering, procurement strategy, and contract negotiations to optimize costs without compromising on design integrity.
• Implement best practices in construction management, site logistics, sequencing, and subcontractor oversight.
• Ensure construction is executed to luxury standards, coordinating closely with interior designers, architects, and specialty contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing high-value construction projects in leadership roles.

• Extensive experience delivering luxury, resort, or high-end residential/commercial developments.
• Strong background in project management methodologies, contract administration, construction sequencing, and site supervision.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Deep understanding of high-end construction materials, finishes, and luxury design standards.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

• Professional working fluency in English, and fluency in Vietnamese.
