Candidate location: Must be already living in Malta

Accountant

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit monthly management accounts, VAT returns, and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
Review and improve internal controls, cost management systems, and financial processes.
Lead budgeting activities and support cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
Process monthly work-in-progress (WIP) calculations and prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis.
Manage and support the accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Key Requirements:

ACCA qualified or in the final stages, or University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting, and budgeting processes.
Familiarity with VAT regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
Prior experience in a project-based environment will be considered an asset.
