About the position
Overview
A well-established financial services firm with a strong presence in Malta is exploring the creation of a new Senior RPA & Automation Developer role. This is a great opportunity to help build and lead automation initiatives that will directly impact operational efficiency and innovation.
The Role
Youll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end automation solutions using Blue Prism. Familiarity with other platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or similar will be considered an asset. The role involves working cross-functionally with key business areas (finance, compliance, operations) and playing a pivotal part in the company's digital transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of RPA solutions from design to deployment.
- Identify and evaluate automation opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain robust, secure, and scalable RPA workflows.
- Ensure solutions comply with financial services regulations and data protection standards.
- Mentor junior automation developers and provide guidance on best practices.
- Document technical specifications, process flows, and system architecture.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of RPA/automation experience, including time in a senior or lead capacity.
- Experience with Blue Prism is required; familiarity with other platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or similar will also be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, VB.NET, or JavaScript.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with OCR, AI/ML technologies, or low-code platforms such as Power Apps.
- RPA platform certifications (especially in Blue Prism).
- Experience with API integrations and database scripting (SQL).
