  • Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check, and fingerprints. (Standard Form 85).
  • Salary: $21.02 - $25.94 per hour.
  • Type of Employment: Full-Time 40 hours per week.
  • Period of Performance: 30 September 2025 30 September 2030.
  • Paid Time Off per Year: 80 hours per year, accruing from the day of Hire.
  • Sick Leave per Year: 56 hours per year, accruing from the day of Hire.
  • Paid Federal Holidays: Eleven (11) Paid Federal Holidays.
  • Travel: Travel is not authorized
  • Relationship: Employee of the Company.

Working Hours

The Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist will typically work Monday through Friday (except for federal holidays). The hours of performance will generally be between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with lunch breaks lasting thirty minutes. They must be taken between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, with any deviation approved by the Chief of the Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC).

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Have a basic understanding of military protocol, support group organizations, an understanding of family systems in a military setting, and the ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Strong working knowledge and capability to operate data entry device(s) to input lists, records, or other data points into an electronic format.
  • Strong working knowledge of Web-based applications (Microsoft Edge/Chrome), Microsoft (MS) Office Word, MS Office Excel, and other MS Office Suite Products.
  • Be familiar with standard concepts, including a minimum of 12 months of prior customer service experience.
  • Be familiar with standard practices and procedures within a customer support and business environment.
  • Be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals promptly.
  • Take task directions and training from the Government Technical Advisor or his/her Representative.

Attire

The Front Desk/Data Entry Specialist is expected to dress in appropriate business casual attire while working at the Military and Family Readiness Center.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide reception services for Military and Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) Reception Center visitors/clients and accomplish customer service and administrative duties as required.
  • Provide data entry into web-based systems, Air Force Family Integrated Results and Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST), and Department of Defense (DOD) Transition Assistant Program (TAP) systems.
  • Receive telephone calls, greet visitors, ascertain the nature of the call or visit, direct clients to the appropriate M&FRC staff member, and watch for opportunities to raise awareness of M&FRC programs and services.
  • Schedule clients for M&FRC classes and provide complete and transparent information that addresses most routine or procedural issues.
  • Input all TAP data and resources in the AFFIRST to include, but not limited to, scheduling clients for Transition Assistance Program workshops, to include sending reminder emails one week before class start date, unless program managers direct a different timeline.
  • Maintain the appearance of the Front Desk. The Contractor will align chairs, materials, publications, and resources on a daily basis and report inoperable equipment to M&FRC management.
  • Ensure all clients completely sign in and generate a monthly client usage report in the format established by M&FRC management.
