We are looking to hire a full-time mechanical engineer consultant or mechanical design consultant with a minimum of three years of experience to help support the growth and expansion of our client's company. 

Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC and plumbing systems, perform design calculations such as load analysis, air and piping distribution, sizing, equipment selection, and specification development.
• Conduct fieldwork including design investigations and construction observation.
• Review designs and communicate with clients, colleagues, owners, and contractors.
• Prepare design layouts for commercial and industrial mechanical systems aligned with specific objectives.
• Create schematics for various mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with multiple disciplines to ensure coordinated designs and review others’ work.
• Perform on-site investigations to verify existing conditions.
• Stay updated with current mechanical codes and standards.
• Build professional relationships with peers in other disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural, civil) and manufacturing sales representatives.
• Prepare general and mechanical specifications.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• Knowledge of system-specific materials, components, and systems.
• Basic understanding of advanced mathematics relevant to the work.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills for solving complex problems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with REVIT is preferred but not mandatory.
