About the position
Boutique advisory firm based in Malta urgently needs a Tax Assistant Manager to join their team support the current Manager along with supporting and mentoring the more junior members of the team.
This is a hybrid role offering up to €60k, depending on experience
Role and Responsibilities
- Leading a small team of tax professionals
- Managing a client portfolio along with tax authorities on a daily basis
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of tax returns and related filings
- Stay updated on local and international tax laws and advise clients accordingly
- Ensuring clients are continuously in compliance with income tax legislation
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the tax service line
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote tax services through seminars, webinars, and other channel
Skills & Experience
- Possess a Maltese warrant
- Strong knowledge of Maltese income tax-related matters is essential
- A good understanding of the international tax climate is expected, covering ATAD, OECD Treaties, Interest and Royalties Directive, Royalties Directive, and Parent Subsidiary Directive
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken is a must
