About the position
Ekos Poznan, part of SAUR International group, international leader in water market, is recruiting a Health & Safety Officer, for Poznan, Poland.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Control of Working Conditions
• Ongoing supervision of compliance with health and safety (OHS) and fire protection regulations at all workplaces.
• Inspection of working conditions for employees involved in the collection, transport, segregation, and processing of waste.
• Participation in occupational risk assessments, especially for positions exposed to hazardous substances.
2. Training and Instruction
• Organizing and conducting initial and periodic OHS training for employees and subcontractors.
• Ensuring up-to-date OHS instructions for machines, equipment, and technological processes related to waste processing.
3. Cooperation and Documentation
• Preparing OHS documentation, including reports, analyses, and statements.
• Cooperation with external institutions (e.g., National Labour Inspectorate, Sanitary Inspection, Office of Technical Inspection, Environmental Inspectorate) in matters related to OHS.
• Participation in the development and updating of OHS and fire protection procedures and instructions.
4. Prevention and Risk Mitigation
• Initiating preventive measures to reduce occupational risks and the occurrence of work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
• Monitoring the technical condition of machines and equipment in terms of operational safety.
• Conducting internal audits in the area of OHS and fire protection.
5. Operational Support
• Advising management on OHS, workplace ergonomics, and employee health protection.
• Participating in investment planning and facility modernization to ensure compliance with OHS regulations.
• Ongoing control of personal protective equipment and ensuring proper use by employees.
Profile:
- 3 years of experience as H&S Officer.
- Background in Health & Safety.
- Able to work in Poznan.
- Polish speaker
