Highway Engineer

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency.
Implement quality control and assurance procedures throughout the construction process.
Ensure compliance with national and international highway engineering codes and standards.

Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
Liaise with clients, vendors, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff.

Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
Maintain accurate records of project specifications, contracts, and design changes.

Skills and Knowledge:

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in highway construction, road design, or infrastructure development.
Familiar with design software.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in diverse and remote locations with multi-stakeholder teams.
Experience with construction management practices and contract administration
