Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team at IFMI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases of goods and services while maintaining the highest level of quality. The Purchasing Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's reputation and contributing to its growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies for the company while maintaining the highest level of quality and value
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms for purchases
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure smooth production and timely delivery to customers
• Generate and process purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Work closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Conduct market research and keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Review and analyse purchase requests, and coordinate with the relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to management
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and international trade regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a modern industries company
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proven track record in cost reduction and supplier management
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
