• About the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons across a range of grade levels (equivalent to UK Key Stages 3-5), potentially including internationally recognized qualifications such as the IB Diploma Programme or Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that incorporate coding projects, problem-solving activities, and real-world applications of computer science principles.
  • Assess student progress through coding assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
  • Foster a passion for computer science and technology through engaging teaching and the promotion of extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics, or cyber security initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the computer science curriculum and collaborate with colleagues within the Technology department.
  • Keep abreast of developments in computer science and educational technology.
• Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification recognized internationally.
  • A strong academic background in Computer Science or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level, ideally with experience in an international curriculum such as the IB DP or AP.
  • A strong understanding of computer science principles, programming languages (e.g., Python, Java), and current technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse student body.
  • A commitment to fostering digital citizenship and ethical considerations in technology.
