Accounting & Reporting Manager

About the client:

A global leader in medical diagnostics, recognized for its innovation, reliability, and strong focus on improving patient outcomes worldwide.

Role Mission:

Responsible for leading a team of 9 professionals and coordinating the accounting function in Spain and Portugal, ensuring financial transparency, regulatory compliance (ES GAAP / IAS / IFRS), and accuracy in financial reporting. A strategic role with direct collaboration with the CFO and the regional finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure transparency and integrity in all accounting transactions and operations.
  • Manage accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support the CFO in the preparation of financial reports and strategic analysis.
  • Coordinate internal administrative processes in line with headquarters requirements.
  • Lead and oversee internal and statutory audits, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
  • Ensure accurate data capture and accounting treatment according to ES GAAP and IFRS.
  • Promote professional development within the accounting team, encouraging continuous learning and autonomy.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports required by the Regional Headquarters (RHQ).
  • Take responsibility for quality and environmental aspects related to the role, contributing to the effectiveness of management systems aligned with ISO standards and legal regulations.

What do you need to be successful?

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong command of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, BI tools, and MS Office.
  • Advanced level of English (spoken and written) is required.

Professional Background

  • Experience in the medical or diagnostics industry is an advantage. 
  • 4–5 years in auditing (preferably Big Four).
  • Deep knowledge of IAS/IFRS and ES-GAAP accounting standards. 
  • 3–5 years in a similar role, managing accounting processes and teams.
