An industry leader in precision manufacturing is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in plastic injection molding to strengthen its automotive quality team. In this highly visible role, you will act as the key quality liaison between the organization and its customersbalancing technical problem-solving with strong interpersonal communication to ensure long-term satisfaction and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent the company in all customer quality matters, maintaining professionalism and transparency

Lead sorting, containment, and corrective action activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations

Develop and implement 8D reports and root cause analysis to address quality issues effectively

Define and manage expectations with customers regarding timelines, actions, and deliverables
-
Supervise and support quality technicians in inspection and rework tasks
-
Monitor and improve internal processes based on customer feedback and quality trends
-
Participate in APQP and PPAP activities to support new launches and engineering changes
-
Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949
Recommended Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
-
3+ years of experience in a customer quality role within a plastic injection molding environment
-
Proficiency with 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis tools, and quality reporting
-
Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with a customer-first mindset
-
Ability to lead and motivate technical staff in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier setting

Familiarity with OEM-specific portals and reporting tools

Certifications in quality systems (CQE, Six Sigma, etc.)

Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and control plans
