Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Developer with strong Scala experience to join our development team. This role focuses on application maintenance, performance optimization, and development across the entire software lifecycle. You will collaborate with business owners and technical teams to implement enhancements, resolve issues, and ensure operational stability for critical applications.
Key Responsibilities

Implement change requests and enhancements as per business owner specifications

Maintain and adapt application code for performance improvements, security, and evolving technical dependencies

Participate in full project lifecycle: technical analysis, solution proposals, impact assessment, planning, coding, testing, and deployment

Support all phases of development: development, integration, UAT, and production environments

Ensure alignment with group architecture standards and propose cost-effective and simplified solutions

Provide technical support in production, including incident resolution and service restoration

Monitor batch job execution and application health daily

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain application performance and ensure business continuity
Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Scala, Hive, HDFS, Maven, and Git

Proficiency in Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c)

Familiarity with Unix shell scripting and scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M)

Understanding of IT project lifecycle and Agile development processes

Good communication skills for working across teams and with business stakeholders

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics, or a related field
Nice to Have

Experience with Informatica PowerCenter

Previous exposure to French-speaking environments
