Sports Principal - Project Manager

Position Overview
The Sports Principal will enhance client satisfaction, drive business growth, and ensure project excellence in the sports sector. This senior leadership role seeks a visionary expert in architecture and sports facility design, with a proven track record in client partnerships, complex project delivery, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Client Management

  • Foster long-term relationships with key clients in the sports industry.

  • Act as the primary liaison to align with their goals and expectations.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and feedback sessions to assess satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in the sports sector to expand the firms portfolio.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
  • Partner with marketing and business development teams to execute strategic growth plans.

Project Oversight

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of sports facility projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain seamless execution.
  • Monitor project milestones and performance metrics, proactively addressing risks or delays.

Leadership

  • Cultivate a collaborative culture that values innovation and aligns with the firm's strategic goals for client and organizational success.
  • Lead and inspire a team in client engagement and design, prioritizing skill development and accountability. 

Strategic Planning

  • Develop the firm's strategic vision for the sports sector to drive long-term growth. initiatives.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activity to support decision-making.
  • Advise leadership on enhancing service offerings and market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in client engagement, business development, or project management within architecture or sports facility design.
  • Skilled at delivering large-scale projects.

  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrated by the ability to motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of sports facility design standards, construction processes, and industry regulations.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
