About the position

Project Overview

Aereach's sister company, Aeris Insurance Solutions, is undertaking a complete website redesign and is looking for a skilled freelance Web Developer to implement our new UI/UX design. The updated design files are ready (available in Figma or your preferred format), and we need a developer to bring the new design to life on our existing site (currently built on WordPress). The goal is to integrate a fresh, modern look while maintaining all current functionality, responsiveness, and performance. We are also open to rebuilding the site using a modern tech stack (such as Next.js or Astro) to improve performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

Scope of Work

• Implement New Design: Use the provided design files to update the entire Aeris Insurance websites frontend, ensuring pixel-perfect adherence to the new UI/UX design across all pages.

• Maintain Functionality: Ensure that all existing features (forms, menus, content, etc.) continue to work correctly after the redesign. The new design must be integrated without disrupting current site functionality.

• Responsive & Performance Optimization: Make sure the redesigned site is fully responsive across various devices and screen sizes. Optimize for fast load times and smooth performance, following best practices for web performance.

• Modern Tech Stack Rebuild (if applicable): If necessary, work on rebuilding the site on a modern framework (e.g., Next.js, Astro) instead of WordPress. This would involve exporting or recreating the current content and features on the new platform to achieve better performance and future-proofing.

• Collaboration & Workflow: Work closely with our team to set up a smooth development workflow including using version control (e.g., Git), working with staging/testing environments, and regular check-ins. Ensure clear communication throughout the project.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing (cross-browser, mobile, desktop) to catch and fix any issues. Perform QA to ensure the new design displays correctly and the site remains bug-free and stable before launch.

Qualifications

• Experience: Mid to senior-level web developer with proven experience in front-end development. Prior projects implementing custom designs and/or site rebuilds will be highly valued.

• Proficiency in Modern Web Technologies: Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with modern frameworks like React/Next.js and site generators like Astro (or similar) is required. Familiarity with WordPress is a plus (to understand the current site structure and content), though the focus is on modern stack development.

• Responsive Design & SEO: Demonstrated ability to build responsive websites that offer a consistent experience across devices. Knowledge of web performance optimization and basic SEO best practices in development.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in translating design mockups into code. Ability to closely match the provided UI/UX specifications (layouts, typography, colors) and ensure a polished final product.

• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying potential challenges in applying the new design to the existing site or migrating to a new stack, and proposing effective solutions.

• Communication: Good communication skills in English. Comfortable collaborating remotely, discussing project requirements, and providing regular progress updates.
