Lead Accounting Analyst (Auditing Background) (Relocation to Africa)

About the position
Ready to make a positive impact in the Oil & Gas field in Africa? Jadeer is hiring a Lead Accounting Analyst for one of its clients.
Our client is one of the leading companies in the Oil & Gas industry in Africa, it's also expanding in the Gulf.
Job Description:
- Participate in all financial accounting and reporting operations.
- Prepare financial statements and other required reporting packages.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Resolve technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local, and state government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 - 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership experience minimum 1 - 2 years.
- International exposure, preferably in Africa/ Mozambique is a plus.
- Willing to travel.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Solid and strong accounting and reporting skills.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills and analytical abilities.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and due dates
- A commercial or budgeting background is a plus.
- M&A experience is a plus.
- Business Development expertise is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Working Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM (Sunday to Thursday).
- Working Model: On-site.
- Job Location: Africa (Tanzania & Mozambique).
