Financial Controller

About the position

The Financial Controller is responsible for the day-to-day managing accounting records, analysis of financial data, monitoring expenditure and preparation of financial statements.

Tasks:

• Coordinate and execute (monthly) reporting process (including monthly consolidation reporting to headquarters).

• Coordinate and assist in preparation of audit file and liaise with external auditor.

• Improve and maintain AO/IC.

• Check and prepare the monthly salary payments.

• Preparation and filing of surveys (CBS).

• Preparation and filing of monthly Intrastat- and VAT reports.

• Liaison between finance and sales department regarding customer balances.

• Coordinate and function as backup for the sales invoicing process.

• Coordinate and function as backup for following-up on pro forma invoices.

• Coordinate and function as backup for following-up customer complaints (credit invoices).

• Coordinate and function as backup for Processing, entry and filing of bank statements. (regarding customer payments).

Responsibilities:

• Initiate and participate in improving projects, focused on harmonizing administrative. procedures and accounting policies.

• Ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial information.

• Observe Company financial rules.

• Meet deadlines.

• Evaluating and managing risk.

• Maintain proper and up-to date documentation and filing.

• A high level of commitment.

Knowledge:

• Educational or professional level HBO.

• Accounting knowledge and 3/4 year working experience in financial administration.

• Fluency in Dutch and English (verbal and written).

• Affinity with related process.

• Tax and VAT Law.

• Experience with Account View, Excel, Word, Access.

• Experience with monthly financial reporting.
