IT Asset & Administration Coordinator

About the position

Key Responsibilities:

IT Asset Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets including procurement, deployment, inventory, and disposal.

  • Coordinate asset tagging, labeling, and tracking across the organization.

  • Conduct regular physical audits and reconcile asset discrepancies.
  • Monitor asset warranty status, lease agreements, and service contracts.
  • Generate reports on asset utilization, aging, and lifecycle status to support budgeting and planning.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing IT asset management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper asset accounting and compliance.

IT Administration Support:

  • Provide first-level support for IT hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
  • Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and deactivation in systems like Active Directory.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT equipment and software for new hires and existing employees.
  • Help maintain and update IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and user guides.
  • Coordinate IT-related communications and training sessions for end-users.
  • Assist in monitoring IT infrastructure health and escalate issues to appropriate teams.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in IT asset management, IT administration, or related roles.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management tools and ticketing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, and network fundamentals.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and basic user account management is a plus.
