Risk Manager

David Kennedy Recruitment is working with global financial market platform company who is looking to hire a Risk Manager.

Position: Risk Manager

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Employment type: Full-time

Remuneration: Base salary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s risk management framework, policies, and procedures
Identify, evaluate, monitor, and report various types of risks including operational, market, credit, liquidity, and compliance risks
Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and stress testing to evaluate the firm’s risk exposure
Prepare and deliver detailed risk reports for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal governance policies
Work closely with executive leadership to assess the company’s risk profile and recommend improvements
Coordinate with internal departments to promote risk awareness and integrate risk considerations into decision-making processes
Support the launch of new products or services by assessing potential risk impacts
Collaborate with compliance, audit, and anti-financial crime functions to maintain a cohesive risk strategy
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to adapt risk management practices accordingly
Report directly to the board of directors or relevant risk oversight committees, as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Native/fluent in English (C1), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional certification in financial regulation or risk management (e.g., regulatory license, risk certification)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a risk-related role within a regulated financial services firm
Previous experience in stocks/shares is mandatory
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and industry standards
Proficient in using risk reporting tools and data analysis techniques
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to clearly communicate complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
