About the position
We are looking for English Literature Teacher for an international school in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting in August 2025.
About the school
This is one of the best private secondary schools in Shanghai, the International Division aims to provide a rigorous US Common Core based Curriculum and College Board accredited AP courses.
Job responsibilities
- Teach the subject of English and literature to high school students utilizing the AP framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience
- Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments
- Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum
- Assess and monitor students progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers
- Develop supportive and safe learning environments
Job requirements
- Bachelor degree or above in the related subject
- Teaching certificate
- Two or more years teaching experience in the subject in higher education
- Excellent communications skills
- Good understanding of teaching in AP context
Salary and benefits
- Monthly salary 25,000 to 28,000 RMB depending on experience and qualifications
- Monthly housing allowance is 6,000 RMB
- Fully paid summer and winter holiday

- Airfare reimbursement once a year up to 10,000 RMB each year
