About the position
About the Role
An Outstanding mixed school in Brent seeks a dynamic Design and Technology Teacher to join their design and technology department. You'll inspire students to develop their creative and practical skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology Teacher lessons, covering a range of materials and techniques.
- Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
- Develop students' design thinking, problem-solving, and manufacturing skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the design and technology curriculum and resources.
- Organise and lead design and technology-related extracurricular activities, such as robotics clubs and design competitions.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology.
- Proven experience in teaching design and technology at secondary level.
- Strong technical and practical skills in a range of design and technology disciplines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
