About the position
About the company: Our client specializes in providing products and services for both home and industrial projects, ranging from gypsum to flooring, paint, and other wall finishes. They have handled incredible projects in Malta, working with key clients such as Malta International Airport, gaming companies, Zara, Lidl, and other major players in the Maltese market.
Job Description: As a Tendering and Estimation Executive, the right candidate will be involved in the project's pre-construction phase at the tendering stage, preparing cost estimates, managing tender submissions, and coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Reviewing project documents to estimate costs.
- Sourcing and negotiating prices with suppliers/subcontractors.
- Analyzing cost-impacting data (e.g., currency rates, productivity).
- Finalizing contracts and coordinating project handovers.
- Preparing and submitting tenders.
- Scheduling of works and tracking project progress.
- Keeping records, assessing risks, and reporting.
- Visiting sites and staying informed on technologies and regulations.
- Supporting business development by identifying new clients/projects.
Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant work experience (essential).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is a must.
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of MS Projects.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel is being requested.
- Meticulous attention to details.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
