About the position
Lead and inspire advanced Science learning in our outstanding Redbridge school! TLR available.
We are seeking a passionate and committed Science Teacher with a focus on KS5 leadership (ability to teach at least one science to A-Level) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to take on significant leadership responsibilities with a TLR in our A-Level Science provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3-5, specializing in at least one science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at A-Level.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment, particularly for KS5 students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learners, especially at A-Level.
- Lead the development of the Science curriculum and resources for A-Level.
- TLR responsibilities available for a candidate demonstrating strong leadership potential in KS5.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level, with a strong emphasis on A-Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Science curriculum, especially at KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership potential in KS5 delivery (for TLR consideration).
- Ability to teach at least one science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to A-Level.
