About the position
Foster a deep and lasting love of Mathematics in our Havering students as our Lead Practitioner!
We are seeking an inspiring and engaging Maths specialist to join us as a Lead Practitioner. You will play a crucial role in developing a positive and enthusiastic culture towards Maths within our school and department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and promote strategies to enhance student engagement and enjoyment in Maths.
- Lead initiatives to raise the profile of Maths within the school community.
- Support teachers in creating engaging and relevant Maths lessons.
- Encourage the use of innovative resources and technologies to enhance learning.
- Lead extracurricular activities and competitions related to Maths.
- Work with students to develop their problem-solving skills and mathematical confidence.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

- Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
