About the position
Empower our Maths teachers and inspire a love of the subject as a Lead Practitioner in our high-achieving Havering school!
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Maths teacher with a passion for pedagogy to join us as a Lead Practitioner. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within our Maths department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and motivate Maths teachers to develop their practice and achieve outstanding results.
- Lead collaborative planning and the sharing of best practice within the department.
- Support the implementation of effective assessment and feedback strategies in Maths.
- Analyse student performance data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality teaching resources.
- Keep abreast of national developments in Maths education.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
- A strong record of excellent teaching in Maths.
- Experience in leading initiatives or projects within a Maths department.
- Sound understanding of effective teaching and learning methodologies in Maths.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
