Your Role as a Chemistry Teacher (ECT)

• Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4, using engaging and effective teaching strategies.

• Bring Chemistry to life through practical activities, demonstrations, and real-world applications.

• Monitor student progress, adapt lessons to suit a range of learning needs, and provide constructive feedback.

• Work closely with your mentor and colleagues to develop your confidence and teaching skills.

• Take part in enrichment opportunities such as science clubs, themed days, or trips.

What We’re Looking For

• A Chemistry Teacher with (or expecting to receive) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Chemistry.

• A positive, reflective mindset and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
