About the Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable Sociology Teacher to join an Outstanding girls school in Camden from September. This is a full-time, permanent position. The ideal Sociology Teacher will deliver engaging sociology lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Sociology Teacher lessons, covering core sociological concepts.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Develop students' understanding of sociological principles and analytical skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the sociology curriculum and resources.
- Organise and lead sociology-related extracurricular activities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Sociology.
- Proven experience teaching sociology at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of sociological theory.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
