Our supportive and highly successful independent school in Hackney is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Geography. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated teachers, further develop a thriving department, and inspire a love of Geography in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective line management and support for Geography staff.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Geography curriculum.
- Encourage innovation and the sharing of best practice within the department.
- Manage departmental resources and budget effectively.
- Liaise with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress in Geography.
- Contribute to the wider leadership structure of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Geography or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience teaching Geography at secondary level, including A-Level.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
