Generator & Transformer Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technicians and electricians responsible for the operation and maintenance of generators and transformers.
Develop and implement scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
Monitor system performance, diagnose faults, and implement timely repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source required tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
Conduct thorough inspections to detect potential technical issues and implement early corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and internal operational standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including service logs and maintenance reports.
Train, guide, and support technical staff on best practices and standard procedures.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure uninterrupted operations and power availability.
Keep current with industry developments and recommend improvements or upgrades to existing systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Trade-tested Electrician with a valid 3-Phase Wiremans License (mandatory).
A technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering is advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the maintenance and operation of generators and transformers.
Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
Valid drivers license and reliable transport required.
