About the position
Role: Logistic Manager
Reporting to: Head-Logistics
Location: Bangalore
Education Qualification: MBA in logistics management from a recognized university.
Experience required: 8 to10 years of experience
Technical & Professional Knowledge required:
- Documentation Knowledge
- Knowledge of Inbound and out bound logistics with international exposure.
Domain/ Functional skills required
- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Safety Standards
- Documentation Knowledge
Purpose: To provide complete support for logistics activities - Inbound, Outbound, Export, Import, custom clearance work Exclusively at Aerospace Unit - New position being created.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Domestic:
1. Daily Vehicle plan for Interunit and Job work supplies
2. Ensuring vehicle availablity for pickup and delivery from all the associated suppliers/ Job workers as per the Plan.
3. Co-ordination with PPC for Movement / Collection of Materials
Export & Import
1. Arrange for Export logistics, Import logistics in co ordination with Procurement team
2. Co-ordination with Freight forwarder, CHA, Courier companies for timely pickup and clearance
3. Arrange daily packing as per invoices and dispatch priority.
4. Co-ordinate with CHA in case of any issue customs clearance and ensure smooth clearance of goods
5. Maintain AA and EPCG registers for Export obligations and compile the data for submission to DGFT
6. Daily Monitoring of AA and EPCG records and compliances etc.
General and overall
1. Facilitating the establishment of commercial connections between customers and suppliers.
2. Engaging in discussions and negotiations with goods carriers regarding shipment costs
