About the position
Attorney
You will help clients navigate personal injury and workers compensation claims, providing legal counsel, representation, and advocacy.
Onsite - Kalamazoo or St. Joseph, MI
Main Responsibilities:
- Client Consultations:** Discuss client personal injury claims and explain the legal process.
- Case Investigation:** Gather evidence, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements.
- Claim Filing:** Prepare and file claims, ensuring all documents are complete.
- Negotiation:** Negotiate with insurance companies and others to secure favorable settlements.
- Litigation:** Represent clients in hearings and trials when needed.
- Client Support:** We provide ongoing support and quickly address any questions.
- **Documentation:** Keep detailed case records to track progress and meet legal standards.
- **Legal Research:** Research laws and regulations relevant to each case.
- **Legal Strategy:** Create tailored legal strategies for each client.
- **Legal Updates:** Stay informed about changes in Michigan laws to support our clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active Michigan bar admission, open to newly barred and experienced candidates.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Committed to client-focused outcomes.
