About the position
About the role:
An independent school in Haringey is searching for a dedicated German Teacher to join their modern foreign language department, starting asap, for a temporary duration. The right candidate will be able to teach German to key stages 3 and 4.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging German Teacher lessons, covering grammar, vocabulary, and cultural topics.
- Prepare students for assessments.
- Develop students’ language skills and intercultural understanding.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the German curriculum and resources.
- Organise and lead German related extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a specialism in German.
- Proven experience in teaching German at secondary level.
- Strong language skills and a passion for German language and culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
