Bill Rate / Salary Range: 6,200 – 7,500 USD/month

They are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Communities) to join their team. This engineer will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining user-facing features and backend services for the community features of the platform. This is a full-time opportunity available exclusively for candidates located in Brazil, with payment via monthly invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features using React and TypeScript.
• Build and support backend services using Ruby, with occasional usage of GraphQL.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to influence design and technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and engineering best practices.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, promoting a collaborative team culture.
• Integrate community features with the broader product ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across the stack.
• Continuously improve development processes and methodologies across the team.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Attainment: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Experience Level:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in Fullstack Engineering roles.

Technical Capabilities:

• Advanced knowledge of React and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in Ruby and experience with GraphQL (nice to have).
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Vue or Angular (nice to have).
• Strong foundation in Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software in production environments.

Communication Skills:

• Fluent in English (C2+ level required).
• Excellent collaboration and team communication skills.

Mindset:

• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Passion for building impactful products and contributing to a positive engineering culture.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive monthly salary between 6,200 – 7,500 USD, along with important benefits, including equipment, vacations policy and local holidays policy, access to a bonus based on performance.
