Career Consulting Partners has partnered with an AM Law 100 firm that represents clients at the forefront of technological advancements, ranging from aviation to artificial intelligence, and possesses a thorough understanding of their industries and evolving needs. With 21 offices across the United States, Asia, and Europe, and a global network of legal partners, we are searching for a mid to senior-level attorney with a background in trust and estate planning.
DEPARTMENT INSIGHT:
The Personal Planning and Private Services team provides a range of estate planning services, guiding individuals, entrepreneurs, and executives toward effective wealth transfer. Clients seek their counsel on preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate and trust administration, and guidance on business succession and tax planning. They also support their clients with international trust and estate services, family office services, and federal tax.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a mid-level Associate in the Personal Planning group, you will work alongside a team of highly experienced practitioners on sophisticated transactions at a national level. This role offers the opportunity to advise individuals and families with advanced estate and tax planning techniques.
DUTIES:
- Provide strategic counsel and advise individuals and families with sophisticated estate and tax planning techniques
- Experience creating and administering family offices, modify complex trusts, and plan business interests
- Experience with high-net-worth client estates and complex wealth transfer strategies
- Knowledge of charitable planning techniques, including private foundations and charitable trusts
- Experience in resolving disputes related to trusts and estates.
- Manage client relationships and collaborate with external counsel, delivering practical, business-driven legal solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2-8 years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning
- Stellar academic credentials and strong references.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to effectively interact with clients and counsel
- Active California Bar admission
- Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $230,000 - $400,000
