With nearly 1,000 years of combined attorney experience, they are seeking a senior-level attorney with a background in General Civil Litigation to join the team.

DEPARTMENT INSIGHT:

The Litigation practice provides an active and vigorous environment supporting trusts and estates litigation to a wide variety of business and civil litigation. While handling matters from investigation and pre-litigation through trial and post-judgment proceedings, they also search for appropriate solutions and resolutions for their clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a senior level Associate in the Litigation group, you will be representing individuals, fiduciaries, public entities and business entities before local, state and federal courts. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside other trusted legal advisors and provide clients with clarity and understanding to succeed in a complex world.

DUTIES:

• Assist in managing all aspects of general civil litigation matters
• Manage all aspects of general civil litigation cases, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
• Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with Partners and present recommendations to clients
• Draft high-quality legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and settlement agreements
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Manage client relationships and collaborate with external counsel, delivering practical, business-driven legal solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of litigation experience, relevant experience supporting General Civil Litigation
• Demonstrated ability to bill 1,800+ hours per year
• Experience and ability to support work provided by multiple Partners 
• Experience developing or managing client relationships, some portable business is a plus
• Prior leadership experience is a plus
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to effectively interact with clients and counsel
• Active California Bar admission
• Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Compensation: $180,000 - $200,000
• Plus discretionary bonuses, and additional compensation for exceeding billable hours.
