Trial Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has formed a partnership with a respected boutique firm in the San Fernando Valley. We are seeking an experienced Trial Attorney to join the team. This is not a high-volume law firm. The firm maintains a focused caseload of approximately 100 active litigation matters, prioritizing quality over quantity. The owner is actively involved in every case and is seeking someone to share the litigation caseload in a fully collaborative partnership. You’ll work side-by-side with the owner on strategy, preparation, and trial execution.
The ideal candidate is a confident, courtroom-ready litigator with a passion for plaintiff advocacy. While extensive years of experience are not required, you must have first-chaired at least 5 jury trials. You’ll walk into an existing litigation caseload, with full support and close collaboration from the owner. The firm is in a strong position for growth, and this hire represents a critical step forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the firm’s owner on the shared litigation caseload with the support of professional staff.
- Lead trial preparation and serve as the first chair in personal injury jury trials
- Handle discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and expert coordination
- Participate in mediation and settlement conferences
- Help drive case value through strategic litigation and trial-readiness
- Focus 100% on litigated matters — no pre-litigation involvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7 - 10 years of Civil Litigation experience
- Minimum of 5 first-chair jury trials in personal injury required
- Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
- Strong trial skills and courtroom presence
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and case management skills
- Growth-minded and eager to contribute to a high-impact practice
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
- Compensation: $190,000 - $220,000
- Plus Additional Attorney Fee Structure
