Senior Drilling Supervisor

Description

  • To propose and seek Drilling Superintendents approval/technical advice on any major deviation to the approved program due to problems encountered in the course of the drilling/completion operations.
  • To ensure that report submitted from the worksheet are correct and complete by reviewing the data prior to submission.
  • To ensure all the sections of OPENWELLS report are filled in order to generate the FWR Auto generation.
  • To provide on the spot decision to any technical problems encountered by conducting risk assessment and providing corrective actions.
  • To ensure optimal operations performance by constantly evaluating, analyzing and recommending good practices and procedures.
  • To implement COMPANYs offshore wells activities at the worksite in accordance with approved programs, procedures and practices.
  • To ensure drilling equipment provided are rated as per the specifications by witnessing acceptance and other load/pressure test and with proper record and practices.
  • To prepare equipment checklist for rig mob/demob, load out sequence, casing and pipe tallies, calculate cement/mud volume requirement and monitor directional drilling survey data.
  • To identify and follow up on equipment requiring servicing, inspection and or repairs by monitoring equipment failure records and update maintenance schedules.
  • Supervise overall logistics to ensure all required drilling equipment/materials will be made available in time for pre check prior to utilization.
  • Liaise directly with drilling and 3rd party contractors for the required drilling equipment/materials.
  • Ensure operational compliance to HSE.
  • Coaching and training of junior engineers.

Requirement

  • Have at least 15 years experience in the Drilling Industry, of which 10 years (minimum) as an Offshore Drilling Supervisor and have work for 3 years (minimum) on Jack-up Rig.
  • Preferably possess a degree or have considerable relevant compensating worldwide oil industry experience and training.
  • Preferably have previous experience of operations offshore Malaysia.
  • Be in possession of a current IWCF Combined Supervisors Level well control certificate (Surface and Sub-Sea).
  • Be self-motivated to accomplish world-class results.
  • Provide strong and inspirational safety leadership.
  • Have a sufficiently broad experience base to be able to exercise independent thought and decision making.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Have a strong written and verbal command of English.
  • Able to supervise subordinates and lead team to achieve results.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communications and organizational skills are essential.
