Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Staff Accountant - Job Costing Focus to develop and manage our internal accounting processes. This role combines core accounting responsibilities with deep involvement in project/job costing, requiring strong QuickBooks expertise and effective collaboration with field operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration and setup of the company's full accounting structure within QuickBooks, transitioning from the current accounting platform
• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
• Perform detailed job costing and financial tracking at the project and service levels
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with high attention to detail
• Prepare internal financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure accurate billing, job costing, and cost allocation

Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Strong experience with job costing and project-level accounting
• Proven ability to independently manage month-end close, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively
• Experience working in a remote environment with cross-functional teams

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience using service business software such as HouseCall Pro or Service Titan.
• Familiarity with ADP Payroll systems.
