The Role: Contact Centre Agent (B2B Sales)
As a Contact Centre Agent, you will serve as a key liaison between the company and its customers or prospects. Your responsibilities will span both customer service and business development functions, supporting the company's UK-based operations from the Cape Town office. This hybrid role requires a mix of proactive outreach, relationship building, and service excellence to ensure customers are supported and sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact potential B2B prospects to schedule appointments for Directors
- Use existing data and identify new targets for outreach
- Handle inbound and outbound customer queries across phone, email, live chat, and social media
- Resolve complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems of all customer interactions and sales activity
- Provide up-to-date and accurate information about services, policies, and processes
- Escalate complex issues to relevant supervisors or departments
- Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs) and quality benchmarks
- Upsell and cross-sell services when appropriate
- Conduct customer feedback surveys to improve service delivery
- Stay informed about company updates, policies, and offerings
About You
- 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or B2B sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to resolve problems and remain calm under pressure
- Skilled in using CRM platforms and contact centre tools
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Capable of multitasking and prioritising in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma required; further education is a plus
- Positive, proactive, and a team player with a can-do attitude
- Willingness to work UK business hours from Cape Town
- Flexible availability (weekends and public holidays as needed)
This role offers a base salary of R25,000 plus performance-based incentives tied to appointment setting and successful contract closures. It's a great opportunity for driven professionals looking to join a structured yet ambitious team environment with international exposure.
