Location: Westminster Role: History Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for a wide range of historical periods and events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the History curriculum within our engaging school context.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in History.
  • Potentially contribute to extracurricular History clubs or trips, enhancing the engaging learning experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in History or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching History at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject of History.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bring History to life for students in an engaging way.
  • A commitment to fostering critical thinking and historical understanding within our engaging school community.
