About the position

Our innovative school in Ealing, with a forward-thinking Arts department, is seeking a Dedicated Music Technology Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, developing their skills in music production, sound engineering, and digital composition. Location: Ealing Role: Music Technology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Music Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially KS5).
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of music production techniques, software (e.g., Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton), and hardware.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Arts department to share best practice and enhance the Music Technology curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Music Technology.
  • Potentially lead extracurricular Music Technology clubs or projects, such as school recordings or sound design for productions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Music Technology, Music Production, Sound Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Music Technology at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of music production software, hardware, and sound engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students in Music Technology.
  • A passion for contemporary music production and the integration of technology in Music education.
