About the position

A well-regarded school in Hounslow is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their well-equipped Design and Technology department. Location: Hounslow Role: Design and Technology Teacher (Full-Time, Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3-4, covering various specialisms.
  • Inspire students to develop a deep understanding of design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques within Design and Technology.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress in Design and Technology.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of workshop equipment and resources within Design and Technology.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Design and Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to Design and Technology.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on safety in the Design and Technology workshop.
  • A passion for fostering creativity and problem-solving skills through Design and Technology.
